When troubles come

A MOMENT WITH GOD, A DAILY WALK IN THE WORD

Start your day with the Lord in prayer. There is a refreshing when we spend time in the presence of the Lord. God wants to have a conversation with us. Think about that. The true and living God wants to talk to you about your concerns. Listen to what He has to say.

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
Romans 12:12.

Hope means to wish for something desired with expectation of its fulfillment. To look forward to with confidence.
Patience means the capacity, quality, or fact of being patient. The capacity to endure hardships, difficulty, or inconvenience without complaint. It emphasizes calmness, self-control, and the willingness or ability to tolerate delay. Longsuffering is long and patient endurance.
Tribulation, is great affliction, trials, or distress; suffering. An experience of testing one’s endurance, patience, or faith.
Constant: means : means continually occurring, persistent. Steadfast in purpose, faithful, does not vary or is regarded as invariant in specified circumstances.

Today’s verse is a reminder that no matter what is happening in your life– whether one of joy or trial – it is best handled in prayer. The use of the word constant implies a sense of being steadfastly attentive. It’s not an ongoing “snap and go” approach, but one of continuous awareness and powerful, purposeful petitions. It is continuing in the prayer of faith, until the answer comes from above.

We can talk about having hope, we can talk about having patience when we go through trials and tribulations, but when it comes right down to it; when we are having a bad day, when everything seems to be going wrong; do we really have the patience to endure tribulation? If you are having trouble, remember to always cast your cares upon the Lord, and He will sustain you. Jesus said to cast the whole of our cares upon Him, because He cares about everything that is going on in your life.

Today’s Scriptures: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything y prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

Today’s Thoughts: Do we really trust in the Lord enough to cast all of our cares upon Him, and leave them there, or do we always want to “help God out” and continue to carry the load anyway? The bible tells us to rejoice in the Lord always, do you rejoice when tribulations and trouble come your way?
